First Marigold

Ack, it’s the last day of the May Flower Challenge!! What fun it’s been :-). I am super grateful to Lori of Lori Moon Studio for hosting the challenge.

I thought it would be fitting to finish with a picture of our first marigold to come out in flower. It’s a “Mr Majestic” and I showed you a tray of them as tiny seedlings in this post at the beginning of the month. And, as hoped, we now have flowers!

I hope you have enjoyed the may flowers challenge posts, and have had chance to check out the blogs of some of the other participants, especially that of Lori herself.

Tommorrow is a new challenge (isn’t it always?!) – the Index-Card-a-Day Challenge over at Daisy Yellow.

  1. What a stunning photo…the center of the marigold is like a secret world of its own…Happy last day of May!! I’ve really enjoyed your flower exhibit.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a marigold like this one. It’s beautiful with that deep red at the edges of each petal. I’ve enjoyed the flower challenge through all your posts and look forward to seeing what you do this year with ICAD.

  3. Allie says:

I’ve never seen a marigold like that, how pretty!!!!

And a fine representative you’ve chosen too. 🙂

  5. How pretty! I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of these, either! Thanks for stopping by my blog–I think I’ll be doing ICAD, too, so I look forward to seeing you there 🙂

  6. Beautiful photo – I love the perspective, the depth, the focus on the center of the flower. Thank you so much for playing along this past month and for getting your children involved. I am sincerely grateful. xoxo

I will reply to comments here on the blog, so please check back if you are looking for a response! I love hearing from you x
