The Challenge Continues…

Judging by the drop off in numbers in the ICAD challenge Flickr group, a few folk have fallen off the icad wagon! We’re still going strong though 🙂

Here’s a few recent cards.

I have been playing with sharpies again:

Experimenting with masking tape & paint:

And paint & ink & words (which are from Rodney Smith):

Today I made my first ever attempt at drawing a mandala. It’s kinda wonky, but I enjoyed the process so will probably have another go:

icad # 40 v

The boys have continued with various drawings. Here’s a couple of Waif’s recent cards:

And Gman’s:

Your mandala looks awesome! I can’t wait to see more from you. My mom has really gotten into drawing them, and she says it is amazing how much easier it is, the more often you do it. When she takes a break from it and then comes back, it’s tricky all over again! I love painting over masking tape and then pulling it up again…so satisfying to see that clean line. I might have to try that on one of mine!

Thanks Andria! I did enjoy drawing the mandala but found the shape of the index card got in the way – maybe a bigger page next time! The masking tape was fun, even if it was a bit too sticky 😉

love sharpies! and colorful ICADS…and tell the boys they are making cool cards too…LUV the green gloppy monster!

  3. I actually tried using paper doilies for mandalas. I bought a small packet in the grocery store. It’s a pretty round design and I gave them to my granddaughters to color, either on it or in the spaces onto paper beneath.

I will reply to comments here on the blog, so please check back if you are looking for a response! I love hearing from you x
