Oh it is beautiful and growing nicely! Can’t wait to see the next photo. 🙂

  3. This is lovely. Do you have a post that tells exactly how you are doing this? Are you sewing these hexagons together by hand? It’s very impressive. Nice job!

Thank you! Yes, this is by hand – the hexagons are all pieced over papers, then I sew them together. Once each hexagon is surrounded then I take the paper out. I started out inspired by an antique quilt from a Jinny Beyer book (you can see picture here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/towardsagoodlife/4861070258/) but found that I didn’t want to make it into a star after all, just to carry on with the hexagon shape. I sort the fabrics into light, medium and dark and alternate – light/medium/light/dark. I have no idea when I will decide it is finished 😉

Love the cosmic hexagon at the centre of it all, it’s rather mesmerising and appropriate….reminds me that we are made of stars and light and cosmicness!

  6. This is beautiful! I thought I was the only person not minding to doing English Paper Piecing in this day and age! So much wonderful thought goes into it in the months that one stitches… and the small pieces do travel in my handbag and come out at surprising occasions. Please show an update soon!

I will reply to comments here on the blog, so please check back if you are looking for a response! I love hearing from you x
