Sewing on Paper!

Today I had a little play around with sewing paper, following Daily Paper Prompt #32 in which Tammy invites us to sit at our sewing machines and play with paper.

DPP #32 Repurposed Papers

Once I managed to quiet the whiny voice in my head, which kept saying “yes, but what’s it fooooor?” I quite enjoyed myself. I even dropped the feed dogs on the machine and experimented with the freedom of free motion stitching, trying out some lettering and shapes. The “m” of freedom got a bit lost when I was too forceful with my thread pulling:

But I quite liked my little red heart:

And no, whiny voice, I still don’t know what it’s for, but I had fun anyway šŸ˜‰

  2. Awesome! My sister takes pre-made blank (front & inside) cards and sews little patches of paper or fabric on the front. Super cute & personalized.
