Vase, Vanilla & Vinegar

This week’s theme for Sketch Tuesday was to draw something beginning with “V”. My initial thought was to attempt a self portrait, but I chickened out on that one and went with the rather safer option of a vase:

The boys raided the pantry for their sketches.

Gman found the vanilla extract:

beginning with v - g

And Waif pulled out a bottle of vinegar:

beginning with v - r

You all made excellent choices for “V”…I like all the detail the boys got in their drawings. Well done!!

‘Sketch Tuesday’ is a nice idea! I might have to partake and sketch something for next Tuesday, probably some fashion/sewing ideas. Are you going through the alphabet?

I would love to see some of your sketches! Sketch Tuesday is hosted by Harmony Art Mom ( for homeschooled kids and their families. We have been taking part for 3 years & love it. Each week she sets a different assignment – eg last week was “draw a robot”, this week “draw something beginning with V”. I don’t see why you couldn’t do something similar yourself though – working your way thru the alphabet would be fun!

Just as the title hints at one of each nice I like the colors of your vase

    They’re all good, great idea!

  5. Ben Naga says:

All three rather upright; an unexpected coincidence?

I will reply to comments here on the blog, so please check back if you are looking for a response! I love hearing from you x
