If You Can’t Beat ‘Em, Join ‘Em

The boys have been inventing new creatures for their ICADs this week. For example here is Gman’s Vegiss:

icad # 15

And Waif’s Helgar:

icad # 15

They implored me to create a creature and here is what I came up with. I drew with pen (no erasing!) and had no plan when I started, just drew an element at a time as it came to me. I’m not sure what the resulting creation says about my psyche (too much Doctor Who, perhaps?!)

  2. A fellow whovian!! Yeeehaw!

  3. Send your monster along to Stephen Moffat – he’d fit right into the Who universe!!

you gotta have some really steady hands to be able to do that in one go with no erasing! brilliant stuff! your characters here remind me of that citv show “my parents are aliens”.

Thanks! I’ve not seen that show, perhaps I ought to check it out!

i saw it again today when i was home at lunch! it’s on at 2:20 (i think) o citv. they just show repeats from years back. the bit that reminds me of it is because at the start when they opening the title they have a bit where they’re are cartoons of green aliens which will more into the two parents! i will take a quick snap of the screen if i can catch it sometime again!

  5. I love Dr Who…is there too much? The creatures are all fabulous.

How awesome!! I love the idea of creating creatures with a pen, whatever happens has to work!

I will reply to comments here on the blog, so please check back if you are looking for a response! I love hearing from you x
